In this 3-session workshop you will learn the basics of photography with SLR cameras (digital or film).
Topics to be covered include:
- The anatomy of the camera, including lenses and tripods (and film)
- Lighting
- Manual camera settings (F-stop, shutter speed, etc)
- Setting up a picture (portraits, landscapes, events, and more)
There will be homework which will be reviewed in-class, and each class will have a Q&A portion.
If you just purchased a camera or received one as a gift, and want to do more with it than just “point-and-shoot”, this is the workshop you must take!
Supplies: Your own SLR camera (digital or film), a 1GB+ USB flash drive (for transferring images). If you have your camera’s manual and USB transfer cable, please bring them along.
