You will learn the basics of oil painting, to take an image and transfer it to a canvas. The image can be from a photograph (a still life, landscape, portrait, etc), from memory, an abstract image, anything.
We will learn how to create fine lines and how to blend from one color to another, from light to dark. We will also learn to create texture with paint. You will also learn practical skills, like handling paints, cleaning your brushes, etc.
Supplies: Portable easel, canvas, brushes and paints, turpentine, linseed oil, painters palette. A detailed supply list will be provided.
