Giclée (“zhee-clay”): From the French “gicler” meaning “to squirt, spurt, or spray”. A high-quality digital reproduction printed onto canvas or paper using oil-based pigments. The technology is not unlike an ink-jet printer, but uses oil-based instead of water-based “ink”, and has a much higher level of detail. uses the services of the West Coast’s best giclée producer for our giclées. The quality is so high that they are regularly mistaken for the original paintings (even by the artists!). Our giclées are UV-protected for maximum longevity.
