Cloris Leachman Packs the Gallery

This past Wednesday May 5th, IncredibleArtist.Com was excited to host a book signing with the incomparable Cloris Leachman. She was here as part of a tour to promote the paperback version of her hit autobiography, “Cloris” and her upcoming one-woman show at the Joslyn Center.

The Gallery doors opened at 6:30, and it was not long until it was standing-room only! There were fans of all ages, from all over, including a few who knew Cloris way-back-when!

Before the event started, Cloris Leachman relaxed in the office and enjoyed a delicious cupcake from Sisters Cupcakes next door and a couple of belated birthday gifts from our artists. She then did an interview with CBS TV2.

Cloris was introduced warmly by Rick to great applause, and she then talked to audience, interviewed by her ex-husband George Englund (who was closely involved with her book and stage show). She had the audience laughing at her anecdotes and stories.

After the interview she took many questions from the eager audience, revealing all sorts of interesting facts: One of her Phyllis co-stars was murdered (still unsolved), she wouldn’t want to work with Russell Crowe (sorry Russell!), and her singing to Paul Newman in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was her idea! When asked by staff who she wanted to work with next, she refused to be drawn…

After the Q&A, Cloris sat down and signed books, taking the time to pose with her fans for pictures.

The evening was a huge success, thoroughly enjoyed by all.
